Culture and Skills Diagnostics

Competence is becoming a commodity. Information is becoming a commodity. State of the art technology is becoming a commodity. So what is going to differentiate businesses? How are these commodities to be designed to deliver value?

Design. Creativity. New ideas.

Ideas are going to become more important in business than they have ever been. Only people, from management to frontline, can come up with ideas! But do they?

While other human resources consulting firms might offer workplace surveys, unique to M4P, is the resulting scientific modelling that is both diagnostic and predictive.

As a diagnostic the M4P differs from surveys in the sense that it is scientifically well grounded and therefore reliable and valid. The comparison between survey and diagnostic could be made:

"a survey would be like going to a medical doctor and giving her the symptoms you're experiencing and listening to her take of what is wrong with you"

"a diagnostic would be to wait for the blood and other tests to come back, to get a valid and reliable diagnoses as well as the actions/medication/therapy/surgery you need to get well"

The foundation of the diagnostic phase of this process is the M4P - Measure, Manage, Motivate and Maximise - founded on the principles of participative and supportive management, involving people in designing their ideal workplace environment

Call it culture, call it workplace climate, call it organisational behaviour, call it workplace motivation - it's about how employees feel about their employer, their colleagues, themselves and their work.

So, how do you measure that?

• How do you develop a good corporate culture and/or eliminate a bad one?
• How do you create a loyal workforce and a positive climate in today's transient market?
• And how do you build on that for motivation, growth, performance and results?

The critical first step is to evaluate the health of the organisation. We take a pulse by diagnosing the workforce from the bottom up, and measure specific factors against global benchmarks.

This first step enables a comprehensive and scientifically founded diagnostic assessment of strengths and weaknesses of the existing culture/workplace climate. This allows us to pinpoint the precise areas, processes, behaviours and even people, that need help, and the underlying cause of the problems.
